Reporting to Manager-Marketing CRM, the Event Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development, management, promotion, and coordination of all event marketing initiatives. This includes coordinating the company's participation in trade shows and industry meetings, as well as the Viking sponsored training seminars, customer visits, and other events. 

The Event Marketing Coordinator will need to be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to focus on all details of our event execution to ensure maximum marketing benefit for the company.   Excellent communication skills are also necessary, as the Event Marketing Coordinator will be the "go to" resource for participation by both internal staff and external customers in a wide variety of events.


  • Assist the marketing team in providing flawless execution of all marketing events.  Specific responsibilities include:
    • Complete and submit required registration paperwork for trade shows and exhibitions.  Order necessary show services, working with outside partners.
    • Create and manage invitations for Viking sponsored training and events.  Manage RSVP list and communication with participants
    • As required, make necessary reservations for travel, hotel, and dining, etc. to facilitate customer participation in events.
    • Communicate event specifics and/or agenda to internal participants.
    • Coordinate participation by sales team and technical managers in local and regional meetings and events.
  • Create, update, and communicate a master event calendar.  Communicate with field personnel regarding event opportunities in their area.  Maintain schedule of industry events and association meetings.
  • Coordinate shipping of required trade show assets, product samples and literature as required.
  • Work together with outside partners to achieve event marketing goals.
  • Assist with creating and distributing marketing communications regarding Viking events and tradeshows.
  • Work directly with outside suppliers to coordinate event executional details, manage trade show assets, and handle all event-related logistics.
  • Identify needs for new and/or upgraded trade show assets including banners, signage, exhibit properties, and graphics. Coordinate repair for existing materials and help coordinate design and production of new materials.
  • Help develop and manage company promotional product website.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience working directly with customers and outside partners.
  • Highly organized with a focus/attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically within typical office applications.
